Instead of three square meals a day, we should have 5 or 6 smaller meals, spread out during the day. This increases the body metabolism and helps to burn calories faster. Eat vegetables, whole grains and fruit as these types of foods provide fiber that helps to keep you satiated for a longer time. Make sure that you get enough of protein in the form of turkey, chicken fish and lean meat. Protein is an alternative to fat as an energy source.

Fat is not undesirable. As a matter of fact, no nutrition profile is complete without the right kind of fats. Avoid saturated and trans fats completely, if you can. One simple rule of thumb to follow is to eat as little of fats that are solid at room temperature. These fats are saturated fats that should be eaten in moderation, if not at all. Trans fat is another type of fat that you should avoid completely. This category of fats is found in foods that we are very familiar with. For example, pastries, cookies, potato chips, hamburgers are foods likely to contain trans fat.

A healthy, balanced and nutritious diet has been the secret behind a number of successful body transformations. It is the first step towards successful weight loss. Such a diet, coupled with exercise is essential to loose weight and increase muscle volume.

A wonderfully sculpted body is something that you too can have. It boils down to burning more calories than you consume and increasing the ratio of muscle to total body weight.
